EASIEST WAY TO IDENTIFY BACTERIAL WILT WITHOUT LABORATORY TEST

When some farmers having wilting problem on the farm, there conclusion is bacterial wilting without laboratory test but this might not what farmers think it is, there are many things that can cause wilting and there are also different diseases that can cause wilting. There are bacterial wilting, Fusarium wilts and your plant might wilt due to maintenance.
We can recognise this bacterial wilt without going to lab for test. All we need is just to get plane colour cup that you can see what is inside from out, and cut small stem out of the plant with little water.
Fill the cup or plane plastic with water and put the stem inside it and wait for like 20-30 minutes.
After 20-30 minutes check the stem if it produces a white, milky ooze.
That shows present of bacterial wilt.

MAKING YOUR OWN PLANTING MEDIA

MAKING YOUR OWN PLANTING MEDIA

Getting good and well treated seeds is not as getting good planting media to raise the nursery before transplant and this goes especially for people doing tomato, pepper, lettuce and some other plants that needed to go through nursery stages before transplant. This makes farmer to look for a good nursery planting media so as to get good result but at times it delay the farmers when they can’t get planting media where they trusted that can get them good media but if this situation occur. Farmer can make media by themselves and it’ll give good result. You ask again can you do it. You can make your own planting media and no need to be going here and there for planting media and spending a lot in media. You don’t even need of any machinery or any special apparatus to prepare it , you can do it within your vicinity. All you need is just SAW DUST, WOOD SHAVEN AND COMPOST and I’m very sure this will not be hard to get.

HOW TO PREPARE IT
v  Get  60% of well dried compost, 20% sawdust and 20% of Wood shaven
v  Mixed it together thoroughly with water using hand until it all wet.
v  5-6cm deep dig of ground at square meter size.
v  Fill the ground you dig with the mixed media by spread it through all the space you dig down.
v  Place your seeds accordingly that the seeds will not too close to each other.
v   Cover the seed lightly with the media you make but squeeze the media lightly to release water before covering the seed.
v  Make a shield with palm tree to cover the nursery to prevent too much of heat during the hottest part of the day.
v  Irrigation is normally done using the knapsack sprayer preferably.
